Vocational Education, Vigorous Boosting in China
 
In order to keep China as the industrial manufacturing giant, to accelerate the transformation mode of economic development and to keep the new path of industrialization, China is implementing and the skilled-personnel training project. In recent years, the Chinese government has devoted major efforts to developing vocational education. With the increasing investment from the central and local government, the vocational education in China has been vigorously boosted.
 
More Student Resources
 
In the past two years, as the secondary educational schools are enlarging their scale, in 2006, there are 7.41 million newly recruited students,enrolling students reached 18.09 million. The students’ proportion of secondary vocational schools and senior middle schools became balanced. It is estimated that there will be 8 million new students by the year 2010. In 2005 and 2006, the central government has invested 500 million USD to establish 763 vocational training bases, 446 prefectual vocational education centers and 468 demonstrative secondary vocational schools.
